11/7/2020 Great! The quality of work is excellent, the sub-contractors they work with are top-notch, they show up when they say they will and the work is done pretty much according to schedule. The crew is polite and concerned about their impact on your working schedule (now that we are working from home).
8/29/2020 Great! Our guest tub/shower valve no longer worked and they were able to replace the frozen valve, install new fixtures and, importantly, patch the drywall opened for the repair and resurface and paint it so you’d never know the wall had even been opened. They were also able to thoroughly seal, inside and out, our Master en-suite windows where we’d had some rain come in during particularly hard storms and also patch a hole on the roof that may have been causing issues too. They also installed tile to the exterior threshold of our Master patio doors and regraded the slope away from the house to solve a water issue there, again in driving rains. They also repaired a small spot of water damage in the ceiling of one of our closets – would never know there had been an issue. No more leaks and, once again, the work was done promptly, efficiently, professionally, and by people who are also friendly and entirely trustworthy. We’ve never been disappointed in our dealings with Dave and Clint and Fudi and have always been entirely pleased with the results. We’d highly recommend them.
2/5/2019 After a very successful bathroom remodel by this company, we sought their assistance with some updating of our kitchen. This particularly involved changing several lower kitchen fixed-shelf cabinets to either drawers or new cabinet fronts behind which large sliding shelves were installed. Dave had any additional fronts made to match the existing cabinetry perfectly in color, grain, style, and profile. The amount, accessibility, and ease of use of our kitchen storage were vastly increased. They also installed much-needed additional recessed and pantry lighting. While here, we also had them replace old exterior light fixtures and do a couple of other needed minor upgrades and repairs. Once again, Clint and Fudi completed all work expertly, efficiently, and professionally and cleaned the work area thoroughly at the end of each day. Their level of detail was incredible. Dave was always available for questions or updates and his suppliers were excellent. Everyone was great to work with and we’d highly recommend their services. Loving our “new” kitchen!
8/7/2018 Our remodel has been done for a while now, and every day we have to pinch ourselves – is this OUR house?! It was an EXTENSIVE remodel – and we lived in the house throughout the entire project! What made that possible was the thoughtfulness and extra work of everyone involved. Everyone left the house as clean as possible at the end of every day – supplies moved out or consolidated, floors swept – even though it would have been a lot easier to just leave everything in place for the following day. Everything turned out gorgeous! Dave and his crew really brought out the vision to life. Everyone who’s seen the finished remodel is just WOWED at the transformation. The kitchen is so beautiful! The cabinets are stunning and perfect in every way! The granite is a real show-stopper! Everything flows together now and feels SO much bigger and brighter! Everyone ALWAYS showed up on time, as scheduled, and was friendly and very pleasant to work with. They all were very detail-oriented, and more than willing to do – and sometimes re-do things to our total satisfaction. Dave was on-site most days, and anytime we called him he got back with us very quickly, usually within a few minutes. We really can’t imagine anyone doing a better job, and we would certainly use Interior Remodeling By Simmons again. If a beautiful, quality result is your goal, you can’t go wrong with Dave and his entire crew!
4/10/2018 We LOVE our new master bathroom – and all the other upgrades done by Interior Remodeling by Simmons. We found them on Angie’s List, and after meeting with Dave Simmons, we sought no other quotes as we were very impressed with his design ideas and knowledge and, frankly, his low-key, professional manner. He provided a detailed written proposal and a reasonable payment schedule that kept things on track. Our 30-year old adobe home had a huge tiled sunken tub in the Master en-suite that we never used in the 7 years we’ve been here and the separate tiled enclosed shower was dark and outdated. We now have a beautiful, bright, elegant open bathroom with all new tile flooring, an open-ended tile and glass shower with bench, stand-alone soaker tub, gorgeous double vanity with matching custom framed mirror, and separate storage cabinet in a style keeping with our adobe walls, new quartz counter, all-new fixtures, and great new recessed lighting and chandelier, and new double-pane glass in three windows.

10/25/2017 This year, we have used Interior Remodeling by Simmons twice for separate home remodeling projects. Dave Simmons was always ready to answer questions or offer design guidance and showed great patience with us. Clint Simmons and his highly skilled crew provided excellent craftsmanship, arrived on time daily, and set out to work diligently and with the utmost professionalism. A thorough cleanup was always completed at day’s end – indicative of the respect this company held for us and our home. We are completely satisfied with our newly remodeled home and highly recommend Interior remodeling by Simmons. We cannot imagine another company showing such concern for their clients and taking such pride in their work.
8/1/2017 – Lookout Mountain Remodel – Interior Remodeling by Simmons completed our master bath, guest bath, and kitchen remodeling. The quality of their work is top-notch. Dave Simmons advice, guidance, and patience throughout the project were greatly appreciated. Furthermore, Clint Simmons and Fudi, and the other crews arrived on time daily and proceeded straight to the day’s tasks working quickly, efficiently, and always completed a thorough clean-up at days’ end. Throughout the project, we and our home were treated with the utmost respect. We now have 2 beautiful modern bathrooms and a gorgeous kitchen!
7/14/2017 – I love my new remodel! Everyone that worked on my remodel was great. I lived in my house with my four dogs through the entire process which included taking down and moving walls, and replacing doors and flooring. Going into the project I was very worried about how my dogs would be plus how we were going to be able to live there during the construction. Dave and all the guys were great with my dogs and quickly eased my concerns. I was at work during the day while they were at my house. Every day when I came home they had cleaned everything and never left a mess. Their work was great and the results turned out amazing. My project ran longer than expected largely because I added several additional projects like baseboards, new fans, and a custom-made dog gate. Simmons was always willing to do the extra work and the project results were just what I wanted. I love my new remodel. I would recommend and plan to use them again in the future.
6/21/2017 – Outstanding Quality! The quality of all of the work was outstanding-Dave Simmons functions as the contractor and his brother Clint (who is a perfectionist to the Nth degree) does much of the work, with help from Fudi, another who was equally awesome. These guys are perfectionists, punctual, and get the job done right- If you need a fast remodel job, these are not your guys, but if you want high quality at a competitive price, these are the folks to hire. I will absolutely hire this group again. The work just doesn’t get any better, and I have worked with many contractors and craftspeople over the years.
12/3/2015 – Perfection! We gave them a picture of what we wanted and they built it to perfection. This is a wonderful company and easy to work with. Everyone was friendly, punctual, and professional. They transformed the sitting room into a walk-in closet by framing the opening and installing mirrored french doors and mirrored panels.
9/3/2014 – We are extremely happy! We were completely satisfied and extremely happy with this project. We have done other major remodeling projects in the past and have never been completely happy with the results until this effort by Dave and Clint Simmons. If we have a project in the future, we will not bother contacting other contractors; we will call Dave and know that we will get quality work at a fair price.
12/6/2012 – Excellent craftsmen! This was the second project we used Simmons for (they remodeled our master bath in 2010) and we were once again very pleased with the results. I suspect other contractors may work faster, but we were far less interested in speed than in responsiveness and quality, which is what we received. Simmons uses only three people — Dave Simmons, his brother Clint and Sinad [I don’t know his last name] — and they are all excellent craftsmen. The tile, the new windows and doors, the mirrors in the wet bar, the countertops and cabinets all look great, with top-notch “fit and finish”. We couldn’t be happier with the quality of both the materials and the workmanship.
Another factor that is very important to me is responsiveness. Inevitably, unexpected problems arise during any major renovation project, and even though we tried to avoid asking for changes during the project (I’m well aware that changes cost money and can slow a project down), it is almost impossible to avoid changing at least a few things along the way. When problems arose (e.g., a cracked drain pipe under the tub in the 2nd bath) or when we had changes we wanted to make, Dave Simmons was always upfront about the time and costs involved. And the prices for the additional work were always very reasonable — in fact, it was clear that Dave was really just charging his own additional costs whenever we had to make changes to the contract. I never felt like I was being taken advantage of or gouged, and that’s really important to me.
I trust Simmons, and I’ve now been pleased with their work on two major projects. The next time we have a major project, Simmons will again be the first contractor I call.
